I've tried learning it several times before and never got past aimlessly playing notes and struggling with chords. I began to assume that only the musically gifted could learn how to play, and with that in mind I sabotaged my learning.This book has helped me come to realise that this is simply not true, as the author's intention to help anyone learn to play clearly shows through. After reading the section about mindset, it really helped me change my perceptions about learning guitar!All the information in this book is shared in a presentable, meaningful and easy-to-follow way. Because of this, sometimes some information can feel a bit repetitive, but it is clearly done for a reason - to make it easily understandable for everyone no matter your age or musical background.The book is very well organised and follows a logical progression - from someone who hasn't picked up a guitar before and wants to learn, to someone who can play even intermediate level songs. What I felt was missing was an explanation on how to change guitar strings and how to tune a guitar by ear (but I guess it's easier to learn this through video).This book was recommended to me by a friend. I've tried learning from other books before but none came close in terms of value. What you will learn in this book is easily worth 10 times the price - I highly recommend it!
