By Dad of Divas What I loved about this book was how easy it was to follow and how delicious the outcome was for all of the items that we have tried thus far. The book is filled with great pictures which make it easy to see the end result. I also appreciated that most of the ingredients in the book were ones that I already had in the house (for the most part). The names of the recipes were memorable and there were some great twists on ones you may have made in the past that will make them instant favorites for the kids (at least that did in my house).The author has a way of making cooking fun and you can tell that these recipes were included with the family in mind. Best of all, these are recipes that you can make with your kids. I had a blast with my own daughters whipping up some of the pancakes and while we may have made a mess, we had fun doing it and they tasted great! Great times and a great book!*I received this for review, all opinions are my own*
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. A great recipe book for Dad's and kids By Dashing Dad The Dashing Son and I really like this book. I love to cook, and I am trying to instill a sense of independence in my 8 year old. With this book, he can cook himself a few meals. The pancake in a cup was a big success. I really liked the frittata muffins (we like breakfast). The recipes are fairly easy to understand for my eight year old (though I still need to do some of the chopping and cutting), and it keeps him involved. I also like that many of the recipes are guidelines, and that there is room for modification. My only critique is that there weren't a lot of pictures of the food. I know that most recipe books don't have this, but for a recipe book geared towards kids, it would be nice to show them what they are going to make.*the author provided me this book to review, but the opinions are mine alone*

Mike has a bunch of books that would fit this Father's Day list, but his most recent is just as good as his others. In Mike's book, you'll find a list of recipes that are both delicious to eat and fun to make. If you have a young child who has shown interest in the culinary arts or if you just want to give your husband/dad something to let him know his cooking could be just a little bit more awesome, Mike's book will do the trick. My son is only 19 months old, but as soon as he is old enough to really start helping in the kitchen, I will bust out this book and start making creations that are not only kid friendly, but enjoyable for the whole family (kid included!) This would be an awesome extra gift to pass along to Dad on Father's Day.
