I had been looking for a book on Zen Tangling for a while, and none of them called out to me until I saw this one. It has step by step instructions for dozens of different tangles, including ones I would have never thought to incorporate on my own. The illustrations are great too, a lot of them are in full color and there are even instructions on color theory and how to incorporate color into your work. I highly recommend this book for all beginners, since I am one, but I think even more established artists would find this book inspiring.

It has lots of step-by-step instructions for drawing specific patterns and many additional ideas that you can copy and adapt for your own doodles just by looking at them. I particularly liked the instruction for drawing braids and Celtic knots. I've been doodling these for years and I was please to see a few techniques that were different -- and easier -- than my own in this book.
