Most of my novels wrap up at the end of the book, hopefully in a satisfying way for the reader. Media headlines plant the ideas that drive my creative side. I push the plots a few years, predicting the outcomes inside the subplots of my novels, and thus far, I’ve been spot on. My motivation for writing stems from a desire to influence the reader’s perceptions of the world in which we live and the issues humanity faces. I’ve been asked how I can write scenes involving torture, rape, and human atrocities, and still be true to my Christian faith. The answer is simple. Tell the story like it is. But don’t be overly graphic. If you’re looking for an author match, I’ve been compared to Robert Heinlein in writing style. Heinlein was a great storyteller who refused to allow a setting to interfere with moving the plot along. He never wasted the reader's time with unfamiliar cultural trends or fancy words. Dialogue and snippets of exposition built the tension of his worlds with a minimum of effort. This is what I strive to do. I love meeting my readers. I want to hear from my readers. With his imagination in high gear, he ups the ante every time the reader thinks a crisis has been resolved—and there are plenty of crises in this survivalist story. Even with an abundance of testosterone-fuelled drama, the book is rich with romance and sympathetic characters—mostly. (There are plenty of mean-spirited bad guys to dial up the tension.) Lush with imaginative scenarios, the reader is exposed to shocking events and behaviors they've never thought of before. The stakes are high in "Yellowstone," the characters interesting, and the story intriguing. All Wetterman's books are good reads. He has really amped it up with this one. I'm a fan.

By Maggie900 We think these things cannot happen –– simply cannot –– but devastation from natural causes can happen, and that’s what Yellowstone, a Fall From Grace is about. Frightening in scope — nothing regional about this story, it will give you more to think about than you may be ready for. By the end, you’ll know you should be ready. From the depth of the research, chances are, there are no fairytales here.The author has brought together compelling, gritty, characters. Without grit, you die. The formation of the Southern States of America (SSA) is intriguing. In times of total chaos and lawlessness, what are women required to do? The SSA has a plan. What would happen in times of great trauma? We know what an Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) might do. Multiply that many times, and you have Yellowstone — A Fall From Grace. Makes me think “prepping” should be in my future, because there is more than a ring of truth to this story.A geologist, who knows the area well, told me Yellowstone has been changing, and rapidly so. If Yellowstone blows, do you think the park will shut down and that’s about it? Or, how much of the U.S. would it affect? You might be surprised — maybe horrified. An exciting read, with details you’ve probably never explored.

Provocative, quick read By ndp Yellowstone - A Fall From Grace takes an event that science tells us will happen someday, and has that catastrophe occur in the present time. Very thought provoking, very eye-opening. Several of the characters in Wetterman's book could be people each of us knows in life today, could be your neighbors. An interesting look at a world without rule of law, a world where all things familiar are in the past, a world where survival of only the prepared is the reality.
