3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. The invitation to a great time By LD I used more than 2 dozen of the locations in the book for my extensive tour of Louisiana. They all were worth the time and effort.The places that we found fascinating were the variety of Antebellum homes along the Mississippi River, the Acadian museums, the WWII ships, the former State Capitol, the planation homes and slave quarters, the bayous, and the local restaurants with cajun food that equaled the celebrity chefs establishments. Walking the streets of some of the historic small towns made you feel like you were back in history.The book really has a huge variety of suggestions to satisfy everyone not enamored by Mardi Gras. A surprise for us was touring a crawfish/rice farm.
