19 of 19 people found the following review helpful. hedges: beauty, habitat and use By samm bucus this book is written for england so yanks will have to adapt the species to their area, especially if you live in the north, but it is worth every cent because it provides so much knowledge about the techniques of hedge laying and hedge management. hedges offer such a diversity of benefits to farmers and backyard gardeners such as windbreaks, habitat for beneficials, diversifying the farm with micro niche products, etc. if you are not a farmer a hedge is a great way to add beauty and habitat to your yard for song birds, small mammals, etc. this book should be MUCH more popular in america.
