I like boating, and I live in Florida and I've spent many an hour at Ponce inlet.I feel like I know these guys.I went 4 stars due to silly errors. At one point they talk about driving 20 miles East of Daytona Beach.That puts you in the Atlantic ocean. Also, they change the spelling of the name of the Irish town several times.Also, it's rather long, and it's due to a lot of emotional narrative, not action. Maybe that's just me.But, I'll look forward to the next, if the price is right.
7 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Blood of Cain By Paul I was a little disappointed in the plot of this story. It was not up to the level of Mr. Lowe's prior books, with several unrealistic situations. A pronounced bias against a specific political party made me uncomfortable and seemed very unnecessary to to plot. I usually get burrowed in Lowe's stories because he has a great talent for creating great characters. True this time also, but, again, several gaps in reality existed. Also, I was surprised and dismayed at the number of grammatical errors and misspelled or misused words. I hope his next book is better.
9 of 10 people found the following review helpful. WOW!! Need I say more? Tom Lowe does it again!! By dannon Wright I reviewed this right after it came out. My thoughts are still the same. Great book, and Tom Lowe did it again!! This book has more twists and turns, crooked political people, murder, and everything that a mystery novel needs. I was guessing the whole time I was reading the novel and was floored towards the end. If you have never read a Sean O'Brien series I urge you to read the first novel A False Dawn and go from there. I have read a lot of mystery novels and this series by far is the best out there. This novel Blood of Cain was to me the best novel so far by Tom Lowe and I look forward to reading many more O'Brien novels. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for mystery novels to read the series and be part of the O'Brien fan club so to speak, Tom is a talented writer and his books show that time and time again.
