About the Author Michael G. LaFosse has been an origami artist for decades and is considered a leading authority and master of the art. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Even a beginner can create gorgeous butterflies! By A reader I have never done origami, but on a whim picked up this kit. I popped in the DVD and quite surprisingly made a beautiful butterfly on the first try! I was able to stop the DVD and replay where needed to ensure that I followed the steps correctly. It was quick and lovely and satisfying, and I can't wait to make my next one! I plan to glue one to a graduation card, or maybe several since they are so simple to make.Thank you Mr. LaFosse, for simplifying this so that even a first time origamist can be successful. I plan on making all of the different styles.

The directions are fairly straightforward, but I was bored after the first three butterfly models. I set it aside for now and will probably return to It again in the future. Overall, it is a good design book for butterfly folds.
