The story of the novel follows one of the American astronauts, named Mark Watney, who is also main protagonist of the book. The main character of the book is a botanist and also a scientist. Sneak Peek By MeBerri I am not really a fan of reading long novels, but I have been SUPER excited to watch the new movie The Martian, with Matt Damon. I couldn't stand the suspense, so I picked this book up as a Kindle Unlimited read. It gave a great generalization of the novel, though I will be very interested to see how the book and the movie differ. The premise of the book sounded really interesting, I can see why they adapted it to film! Reading this Summary only made me more excited to see the movie. Thanks so much, this was a real time saver.
