Very Good instruction, very crumby paper product By Deerfield Brent Bought 4 other dulcimer books in attempt to teach myself to play from scratch with very little music background. This is by far the best. Very easy to understand and provides steady learning progress for a beginner without being moron simple. Would be easy five except the flimsy paperback binding will not stay open and breaks when bent to stay open on a stand. Should be spiral bound. Early edition came with included CD. Now audio files are only available online...a big inconvenience for me. This seems to be the trend now in Mel Bay and other books. Cost cutting is badly affecting the value of the product. The instructional quality of this publication is great. The cheap paper and binding quality as well as withdrawal of the CD is a disappointment. Still the best overall I have found.
