About the Author
Billy Steers is an author, illustrator, and pilot. In addition to the Tractor Mac series, he has worked on forty other children's books. Mr. Steers had horses and sheep on the farm where he grew up in Connecticut. Married with three sons, he still lives in Connecticut.

Our kids just love them all and ask to be read them, frequently. Our daughter was so excited when it arrived today. The grandparents love these books too, since they are full of substance and true to farming. I love the emphasis on hard work, perseverance, and joy that are prevalent in all the Tractor Mac books. This book is no exception. The author continues to add to the series with each addition, not rehashing story lines or becoming less interesting, as some series can do overtime. As in this book, regaining old pastures is no easy task, but with perseverance, anything is possible! Wow! What a great, hope filled message to give to kids, regardless of background or issues they may be struggling with. I would recommend these books to anyone.

In this installment a new tractor, Daisy, shows up to help out on the farm. She is much smaller and has a less powerful engine than the one Tractor Mac has. The animals of the farm feel like she is too small for hard work. With a little encouragement form Tractor Mac they are able to work together and get the jobs done much quicker!We love how these books teach life lesson in a gentle way. Fans of all things farm related will enjoy this book. There are several others in the series to look out for as well.
