Could be the best of the series (so far) By David Maguire The latest installment in the Meridian Wanderings strikes a different tone than the first four books of the series, but still ties in nicely with the overall feel of the saga. Tara, the protagonist, feeling a little lost and aimless in the modern world, joins her uncle (more accurately, his consciousness downloaded into a shape-shifting robot) on a time-traveling search for love and a place to belong. This one is very story driven, as Tara meets real-life people from the past (historically minded people as well as music nerds will enjoy that aspect) on her travels. They end up in Fairie, where some characters from the previous books make cameos, most notably a personal favorite of mine, Fosby, the loveable, hedonistic sasquatch. All is not fun and games, though, as the travelers are faced with treachery, ulterior motives, as well as a mysterious, seemingly all-powerful (though absent-minded) being named Murlin. I found myself constantly wondering if he was benign or malevolent, saying to myself, "what's his game?"... Just as you think things are wrapping up nicely, a sharp but seamless left turn is taken where the origins and motivations of Murlin are revealed... it'll blow your mind! I read the second half of the book in a single sitting, because I couldn't put it down. A great read with a really strong ending. Highly recommended!

By Mark Johnson What drew me in and kept my interest about Time's Fable is the compelling cast of characters and evolving plot lines that intertwined so well with each other. I never got bored or felt like there were any holes in the story line. Time's Fable is part of an ongoing series called"Meridian Wanderings" and is the 5th book in the series which I've really come to enjoy but each book, including this one, stands very well on its own because the stories in my mind's eye are truly unique and visually stunning.
