1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Addictive By Karli My introduction to Lucy Varna was Tempered, book 3.5 in the series, which I read in an anthology. I was hooked and then read book one, The Prophecy, which is free. At that point, it made sense to buy the omnibus, because it was apparent I would be in a reading marathon until I finished the available books in the series. It is that good, and addictive. I've now read both omnibus sets and am impatiently awaiting the release of book six. If you haven't read any of Varna's books and aren't sure about this set, you could start with the free book one, which is a very good read and can stand alone. I've found the books get increasingly better as the series progresses, however. So chances are, if like me you like it, you will also love the series. It is well worth the investment and time.

By Norma jfkrtl It appears to me that in these later books the author is pursuing an idea I find intriguing. She has the female characters behaving in a typical male manner, insisting on paying, directing them to stand here and move there, ordering them around; in general, the females take charge. The men are completely confused and resentful of that treatment until they become accustomed to the culture of the People. I like it.

Awesome characters, loved that the other characters from previous books were there also and just to see how happy they are. Highly recommended series and waiting as anxiously for the book six.
