Fast-moving Action Tale By Jennifer Joan German Redemption Job follows former cop Ben WIlson from drunken days driving a forklift in warehouse to going under cover with a biker gang looking to solve a small problem and ending up with a bigger problem that harks back to his days as an Army sniper. Ben sees the assignment he is offered as a chance to do something good with the life he thought had been rendered useless by loss and incarceration - and it wakes something up inside of him.Ben is a tough, complex guy whom we meet while he is at his most vulnerable - his wife and child have been killed by a young drunk driver who has a bad case of affluenza, he shot his best friend who shielded the punk when Ben went for him and has served time even though the friend refused to press charges.This is not my usual cuppa, but Jay William develops characters so well and paints scenes that I could really enter that I couldn't help but buy this book after seeing an early chapter on FB. I hope he drops more hints on FB of his upcoming releases because I feel pretty confident that they will also be excellent, well-written reads :)
